What's coming next?
There will be another opportunity to comment on both the substation proposals and the overhead line and underground cable proposals when we consult formally on the wider project.
We will hold public consultation events along the route to show you what the connection looks like and to hear your views. We will be keen to hear if there is anything else we should consider before finalising our application.
Following your feedback, we will submit our proposals to the Planning Inspectorate.
As well as being able to give your views on the connection route and proposed substation, you will also be able to comment on our Preliminary Environmental Information Report.
All the information on display at the events will be published on our website and paper copies will be available to view at local authority offices and some libraries in the area. You can also see the reports and technical documents from our previous consultations.
When we consult formally on the wider project you will be able to give us your views directly at any of the public consultation events or by post, email, telephone or via the project website.
How we plan to carry out our public consultation will be set out in a Statement of Community Consultation. This statement is required under the Planning Act 2008. We will agree our consultation activities with the local authorities before we start.
To keep track of the latest information, you can register for updates on our project website so that you automatically receive an email alert whenever we post news or new documents on the site. Please go to Log in/register.
You will have another opportunity to comment on our plans for the new connection after we have submitted the application to the Planning Inspectorate.
